Finding Your Leadership is a 4-week online introductory course designed to help you gain insight into who you are as a leader and develop your leadership skills.
Whether you’re starting out and wondering what this leadership thing is all about or considering next steps in your practice or leadership career, the course is an opportunity to learn more about yourself, reflect on where you are and plan for next steps.
Who is the course for?
Finding Your Leadership is a great first step or refresh for anyone working in the cultural sector who is looking to develop themselves as a leader or changemaker. It is suitable for:
- Leaders and changemakers working in any role in arts and culture including administrators, co-ordinators, artists, producers and creative practitioners (you do not need to be a line manager)
- Those employed in organisations as well as those who are freelance
Course details
Designed to fit around and complement your day-to-day work, the programme is structured over four weeks. Written content, videos and tasks will be released each week, along with the opportunity to join live facilitated group sessions to enrich your learning.

Content
Each week has a different content focus, designed to guide you through considering your own leadership and changemaking style, how this works in context and through those you work with, and finally putting your learning into practice.

Need-to-knows
The course is:
- Self-paced, allowing you to flex your learning around work and other commitments
- Flexible to your leadership context
- Heavily focused on self- reflection, a key element of Clore Leadership’s programming approach
- An introduction to learning about your leadership
The course isn’t:
- Business management, support or training
- Suitable for those who have already completed a Clore Leadership residential or longer-term programme
An online learning community
Throughout the course, you’ll be able to connect with your peers as part of an online community of learners. There are two optional live session dates where you’ll meet others in your cohort, as well as the opportunity to share reflections and learning about the tasks you undertake as you work through the programme.
