The governance of cultural organisations is coming under ever-greater scrutiny. Stakeholders and funders are demanding increased accountability from boards, with ACE articulating this clearly through its Let’s Create strategy and delivery plan. Organisations and their boards are consequently being asked to reflect on searching questions of identity: Who are the trustees and are they representative in their diversity? How strong are the governance policies and processes in place? What mechanisms does the board have to ensure the organisation meets its charitable purposes?

Join us for a webinar exploring these questions and more, benefiting from the perspectives of those on both sides of the funding coin. We’re delighted to be joined by Amy Vaughan (Director, Change Programmes, Arts Council England), Martin Sutherland (CEO, Coventry City of Culture), Alison Clark (Head of Culture Sport & Tourism, Durham County Council) and Tim Wheeler (Arts Consultant, disability & governance researcher) in a session chaired by Clore Leadership Governance Associate, Keith Arrowsmith (Senior Partner, Counterculture LLP)
