Tees Valley Leadership Skills Days
Primary tabs
Thank you for your interest in the Leadership Skills days, for cultural leaders and changemakers who live and/ or work within the Tees Valley. We’ve developed this programme after listening to what you’d love to know more about.
These stand-alone training days all explore a different skill or area of expertise to support you in building your own leadership toolkit.
The skills days all run from 10-4, in venues across the Tees Valley. Each day will be led by Clore Leadership contributors, and the course content is grounded in experiential learning, so come along prepared to dive in.
Find out more about the different sessions below.
Each day will have a diverse range of participants who will bring a breadth of experience and animate the group learning. To help us create the best possible mix of people we will be looking for applicants who can demonstrate:
- At least five years’ work experience
- An ambition to lead, a sense of purpose and vision
- A desire to better understand leadership
- Self-awareness, authenticity and openness to learning
- A commitment to and passion for the cultural sector
- A curiosity as to the wider context of culture
All of the sessions are equally valuable if you are a freelancer, or work within an organisation. There are 24 places for each Leadership Skills day.
The fee for each Leadership Skills day is on a pay what you decide basis, with a minimum rate of £10 for individuals; £25 for organisations.
A sandwich lunch, and tea/ coffee will be provided.
If you have any access requirements, please do let us know on the application form.

We are sure these days will be popular and will be oversubscribed. We will try and allocate places fairly, and we also want to ensure a mix of skills and experience in each group.
Have some questions?
A Q&A session was held online on 28 March with Kate Atkinson and Amanda Smethurst from Clore Leadership to answer questions about the application process. A recording of this can be found on Youtube. If you have any further questions, please do get in touch programmes@cloreladership.org
The deadline for applications is 26 May 2023.
