Jennifer McDerra lives in Norwich where she is a PhD student in the School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia.
Her doctoral research is the next step in a career committed to recovering and promoting neglected voices and constitutes part of the Leverhulme funded Caribbean Literary Heritage project to bring lost works and writers into view. Prior to this Jennifer was CEO at the Charles Causley Trust which exists to further the legacy of the poet through opportunities for those engaged with Cornish heritage and the community. Jennifer previously held a number of roles within the literature sector, including Culture Programme Officer for the Commonwealth Foundation, Development Manager for The Reader Organisation, and Community Relations Officer at Barefoot Books.
