CLORE EMERGING FUTURES 2018 Farmer, Land and Seed: Relatives of Inspiration

Ibrahim Mahama’s immersive installations draw attention to Ghana’s historic economic exploitation and the global transportation of goods across borders.

In this talk, Mahama shares his ongoing inquiry into the evolution of objects and materials from one context to another, the impact of his international success, and how his training at the College of Art (KNUST) in Kumasi inspired him to self-fund studios/spaces for Ghanaian artists’ critical artistic exploration and practice.

Emerging Futures: Leadership Culture and Big Ideas is a Clore Leadership conference in partnership with Manchester International Festival, Future Everything and The Space.
