Daniel Evans is Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres where as a director his work includes Anything Goes, The Sheffield Mysteries, Oliver! (Best Regional Production, WhatsOnStage Awards 2014), This Is My Family (Best Musical Production, UK Theatre Awards 2013), An Enemy of the People, Racing Demon, Othello, Macbeth, My Fair Lady (Best Regional Production, WhatsOnStage Awards 2013) and The Full Monty (Best Touring Production, UK Theatre Awards), and as an actor Company, The Pride, Cloud Nine and The Tempest (also Old Vic).
He also directed American Buffalo (West End).

Daniel is a Fellow of the Guildhall School and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Sheffield Hallam University in 2012 and is also co-founder of Act For Change.
