Join us, and other trustees and artistic directors for a Twitter live chat on #ArtisticRisk.
Fewer duets are more delicate and complex than that between the Board of Trustees and the artistic lead(s) of an organisation. A Board’s role in artistic risk is difficult to pin down because it is highly dependent on the organisation and personalities of the senior staff and board members involved. However, to be effective in any context, it requires a strong sense of trust between both parties, and crucially, between the chair and artistic director.
To mark Trustees Week, Clore Leadership invites you to join us for an hour on Twitter in exploring some of the complexities of managing artistic risk. We will host Susie Sainsbury in conversation with Clore Governance Associate Prue Skene. They will draw on their extensive experience of working with artistic directors as Trustees.

How to Participate
#ArtisticRisk will be a live streaming conversation utilizing the social media platform Twitter.
One must have a Twitter account to participate in a Twitter live chat but you can follow the discussion even without signing up. If one doesn’t have a Twitter account but would like to take part, they can register one for free here. One must be logged into their Twitter account at the time to participate. Tweets will be compiled under the hashtag #ArtisticRisk so you can follow the conversation more easily. In order to contribute or ask a question people must include the hashtag in their post.
