Dan Baker is a cultural leader and producer. He is Co-Founder and Producer of Plymouth Fringe Festival, and was most recently employed by Barbican Theatre Plymouth as Creative Producer.
He participated on Clore Leadership PULSE during 2020, and has also recently participated on the CULTURE RESET and ISPA Fellowship programmes. He trained at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama.
Clore Leadership PULSE helped me greatly in realising I was ready to take the next step in my career, and to embrace the responsibility of being a leader. I was encouraged to apply for Chief Executive roles, underlined by an authentic leadership style crystalised through Clore - the programme helped me overcome impostor syndrome, and to step up.
The Covid pandemic has impacted on my professional development due to the changing landscape of UK theatre, but has encouraged me to become an agent of change; I am using this time to speak to others to conduct research into the impact of Covid, in order to help shape the sector moving forward.
