Jiten Anand

I am a creative producer with an expertise in producing ground-breaking spectacles and events. My career began whilst on a university placement at a film company in Leicester. In June 2011, several friends and I produced a small festival that would gather momentum and become a pioneering force of 21st century South Asian arts and culture. In 2017, An Indian Summer produced a three-month programme of cutting-edge events to mark the 70th anniversary of Indian independence in phenomenal fashion; attracting 40,000 people and leading one of the biggest celebrations of South Asian culture in the UK

Inspirate, the social enterprise that runs An Indian Summer was founded in 2012. As the Managing Director of the organisation, we have produced a plethora of cultural activities; including an international street art festival that transformed Leicester’s Cultural Quarter with over 42,000m2 of permanent building murals. Bring The Paint went onto win Leicestershire Tourism Awards’, ‘Event of the Year’.

I have collaborated with an array of organisations to produce arts and cultural experiences; including Royal Collection Trust, Curve Theatre, University of Leicester, Southbank Centre, ArtReach, National Space Centre, Business Investment District, Coventry Herbert Museum, Derby Quad, State Bank of India and Sony TV. Most recently, I was appointed Vice-Chair of Leicester Arts Festivals and Trustee of Pedestrian Arts.
