Hannah Harte

Hannah is Head of Conservation - Collections & Interiors at the National Trust, leading a national team of conservation experts and a network of regionally based Conservators, she sets the direction for conservation across the Trust's 350 properties in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. She has previously held roles at the British Museum, as Head of Preventive Conservation and National Archives, as Conservation Manager - Research & Development. Hannah has been an active accredited member of the Institute for Conservation (ICON), the professional body for the sector in the UK, and joined their board in 2018 as a Trustee. She is a shadow member of the Fabric Advisory Committee for Lincoln Cathedral and a mentor for the charity Arts Emergency, a national network of volunteers in the Arts and Humanities coming together to create privilege for people without privilege. Prior to her career in conservation, Hannah worked in the hospitality industry, co-managing a hotel with a turnover of £1million per annum.
