Holly Aston

Holly Aston is Lead Producer for the Young Vic where she works with the Artistic and Executive Directors to programme and produce each season of work and deliver the artistic vision for the organisation. In her role Holly forms part of the programming team and produces Main House shows, as well as tours, transfers and co-productions, working on productions from the point of conception and development, through to rehearsals and performance. Over the last year she has also worked on a pioneering partnership with Sky Studios, a writers scheme which co-commissions new work for stage and screen.

Originally from Cheshire, Holly has a BA (Hons) in Theatre Studies from Lancaster University and undertook post-graduate study at École Internationale de Theâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris. She was a Theatre Consortium Fellow on the 2014/15 Clore Leadership Programme and is an RD1st qualified coach. She has also served on the board for Magic Me, the UK’s leading provider of intergenerational arts projects, and has mentored for the Clore Emerging Leaders programme.

Before joining the Young Vic, Holly led the Connections Programme at the National Theatre, an annual, nationwide youth theatre festival, commissioning over thirty new plays. Holly has worked as part of the producing teams for the Donmar Warehouse, the RSC on Matilda The Musical in the West End and the King’s Head Theatre. She has also worked as a workshop leader and performer for various theatre education companies in Hong Kong.
