Jeanette Bain-Burnett

My early career focused on arts, culture, higher education and community roles. As Director of the Association of Dance of the African Diaspora (2007-2014), I developed a specialism in equality and inclusion. After freelancing as a consultant and creative producer, I moved into cultural and social policy roles for the Mayor of London, most recently as Head of Community Engagement at London's City Hall.

How the Fellowship impacted me

Clore gave me the confidence to seek out new possibilities- it enlarged my vision of the Impact I could make on the world.

How I am using my skills for change

I use what I learned through Clore, not just in what I do, but in how I do it- putting integrity, humanity and creativity at the centre of my work. I lead a team that creates platforms for many voices to contribute to shaping London's future. We're always reimagining our approach together. Clore taught me to be braver in embracing the uncertainties of leadership.
