I’m a coach, facilitator, trainer and consultant based in York working with individuals and organisations around the UK, face-to-face and online - supporting others to learn to change.
I began my career in the mid 1990s in curatorial roles at Leeds City Art Gallery and Yorkshire Sculpture Park before moving into funding and development with London Arts Board / Arts Council England and later as Head of Arts at British Council France. Over the past decade I’ve held interim senior management roles at Tate Liverpool and Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, and delivered a variety of successful independent projects helping people and organisations to learn and create change.
I trained as a coach in 2010, as part of my Fellowship, and a strong coaching ethos now underpins all my work – building confidence, clarity and commitment to achieve better performance. With a background in research, I ensure my practice is informed by current thinking, but not hampered by jargon or unnecessary complexity. I work with a wide range of people and organisations from artists and volunteer-run museums through to universities and national museums and arts companies.
