Eve Poole

Eve is the Third Church Estates Commissioner, which involves oversight of the financing of bishops and cathedrals; and the hearing of appeals against cases of parish reorganisations, church closures, and alternative use of church buildings. She is also Chairman of the Board of Governors at Gordonstoun.
Prior to that, Eve spent 15 years teaching leadership at Ashridge Business School, and has been working with the Clore Leadership Programme since its inception. Eve has written a number of books, most notably Leadersmithing, which was Highly Commended in the 2018 Business Book Awards.
Eve’s first degree was in Theology from the University of Durham. She started her career at the Church Commissioners for England before gaining an MBA from the University of Edinburgh, for which she won the Association of MBA’s Student of the Year Award. She then worked for Deloitte Consulting, where she specialised in change management in the financial services industry, and has a PhD from the University of Cambridge on theology and capitalism.
