Clore Leadership Programme Enters New Phase

 

The Clore Leadership Programme, created to encourage and strengthen leadership in the British cultural sector, today announced the formation of a high-level Management Committee to guide the work of the leadership directorate established in June. The Management Committee, which will meet every 2-3 months, consists of:

Clive Gillinson (Chair), Managing Director, London Symphony Orchestra

Dame Vivien Duffield, Chairman, Clore Duffield Foundation

David Harrel, Senior Partner, S J Berwin

Sir Nicholas Serota, Director, Tate

Nicholas Hytner, Artistic Director, National Theatre

John Holden, Head of Development, Demos

Nichola Johnson, Director of Sainsbury Centre of Visual Art, University of East Anglia; Director, UEA Museum Leadership Programme

Sir Peter Davis, Group Chief Executive, J Sainsbury plc

Pauline Tambling, Executive Director of Research and Development, Arts
Council of England

Advertisements for applications for the first Clore Fellowships will appear in
January 2004 and the programme will begin in September 2004.
