Course Content



"This is not another 'cookie cutter' training course or management retreat, it is a cleverly designed programme aimed at self exploration, self renewal and leadership development . The course takes into account the wide ranges of learning styles and preferences, and personalities and there really is something for everyone."


What is covered in the two weeks?

The exact content differs from course to course but we always aim to cover the following areas:

  • finance, strategy and risk
  • communication and presentation skills via media training
  • authentic leadership
  • governance
  • coaching skills for leaders

Other topics covered on previous courses have included:

  • leading change
  • emotional intelligence
  • introduction to Action Learning
  • brave conversations
  • philanthropy and individual giving

The sessions on personal development are designed to help participants know themselves more fully as leaders, to realise and develop strengths and foster the confidence to create effective relationships.

Teaching methods encourage a high degree of active participation from everyone in the group and there will be plenty of opportunity to work in groups on specific tasks and projects.

Courses begin on the Monday lunchtime and end on the second Friday lunchtime. The schedule is intensive with timetabled sessions running from 9am until 7.30pm most days.
